Wondering what's next for Harry and Lisa Ann - Sexual Intrigue (2008)Meghan, everyone's favourite former royals? Well, a major multi-year Netflix deal, it turns out.

After announcing their intention to part ways with the royal family earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have started their own production company and inked a deal with Netflix. The name of their production company is currently unknown, but a New York Times report revealed some of the specifics of the nature of the deal they've secured.

Harry and Meghan, now Hollywood producers, will be paid to commission feature films, scripted shows, documentaries, docu-series, and children's programming for the streaming giant. The content they produce will be exclusive to Netflix.

Don't worry, they won't be staying entirely behind the camera. According to the NYT, Harry and Meghan "may appear on camera in documentary programming." But sadly, this does not mean Meghan will be returning to acting.

The deal sounds very similar to that signed by Barack and Michelle Obama two years ago. In May 2018, it was announced the Obamas had entered into a multi-year deal to "produce films and series for Netflix, potentially including scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and features."

Back in January (which feels like three decades ago), Harry and Meghan announced they'd be consciously uncoupling from the family firm and planned to "make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution." They stated at the time, "We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."

In a statement published by the NYT,the pair said they would be "creating content that informs but also gives hope," as their main focus for Netflix. "As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us," they added. Their statement also made reference to their intention to share "impactful content that unlocks action." It's not known how much they'll be paid by Netflix — but we're guessing it's quite a lot.

Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-chief executive and chief content officer, said in a statement that the streaming company is "incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere."

Congrats on the new gig! Here's hoping there's a tell-all #Megxit documentary on the cards (unlikely tho, tbh).
