Amazon faced unexpected criticism from users in India for selling doormats and Deadly Rain Porn Movieother products with religious figures on its American website. The controversy soon escalated into a Twitter campaign asking Indians to boycott the e-commerce platform and its app.

Numerous angry users began tweeting against the e-commerce platform for selling doormats with images of Hindu gods, Jesus Christ and verses from the Quran. Soon, #BoycottAmazon began trending on Twitter in India, with several people threatening to uninstall the app and give it a negative rating on various app stores.

The products were being sold by a retailer called Rock Bull, but most of the tweets seem to have been directed at Amazon. After the backlash, Amazon reportedly removed most of the products from its site.
